People management begins with creating a club work environment in which your team members can perform to the best of their abilities. People management is a whole work system that starts when a job is defined as needed and expectations are clearly communicated to the team member. In terms of a manager’s role, knowing how to build these foundations provides the basis for the successful ongoing management of your team and the club as a whole. 

 

By providing a structure or framework your team members won’t be left guessing what they should be doing. This framework also helps them understand their role in the team and the club’s success and provides the overview the human brain craves.

 

During the webinar, we will cover the following:​

• Developing Work Plans - aligning tasks, personnel and performance  - what should we be working on?

• Allocating Work - balancing the competing demands of efficiency, cost-effectiveness and outcomes.

• Managing Performance - knowing how to do the job and setting performance standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
